The village centre – open-minded tradition

The village centre features buildings displaying the typical architectural style of the Überetsch area: ornate porches, mullioned windows, verandas and enclosed courtyards give the village its typical, almost Tuscan, look. The market square, where locals meet to drink their morning espresso and enjoy a glass of wine after a day’s work, is the bustling heart of the village. Farmers wearing their traditional blue aprons, young mothers and tourists of various different nationalities all congregate here. The local farms do too, and the farmers sell the wares from their wine cellars and acres at the weekly market.
